Classes

Seven days a week, all levels welcome. Not sure where to start? Any adult class is a great first observation.

Adult Aikido

Our adult program is the heart of the MAC. Classes run seven days a week at various times. All levels train together — beginners and experienced students practice side by side, which is one of the things that makes aikido so distinctive.

Aikido for Kids

Ages 8 and up. Every Saturday at 10:00 AM. The kids program emphasizes fun, respect, and real personal growth — not just physical skills.

Aikido teaches children self-defense awareness through de-escalation and confidence, not aggression. They learn to stay calm under pressure and work cooperatively with others.

What Your Child Will Develop

  • ✓ Focus, concentration, and self-discipline
  • ✓ Balance, flexibility, and coordination
  • ✓ Respect, etiquette, and good manners
  • ✓ Practical self-defense awareness
  • ✓ Friendships and a sense of belonging

Parents are welcome to stay and observe their child's class from our seating area.

Pricing

Introductory: $75 for 2 months — gi included

Regular: $50/month  ($40/month for additional siblings)

Please note: We ask that parents observe a class with their child before enrolling. Contact us and we'll help you plan your first visit.

Iaido

Iaido is the Japanese art of drawing the sword — a meditative, solo discipline focused on precise, deliberate movement. It's a natural complement to aikido, developing stillness, attention, and intent.

Students work through formal kata (forms) with an iaito (practice sword). No prior martial arts experience is necessary.

Who Is Iaido For?

Iaido is open to current MAC members. Class times are posted on the schedule. Contact us if you have questions about getting started.
