Best Wishes for the New Year!

The MAC dojo is temporarily closed for in-person classes due to the recent rise in Covid cases and the Governor’s imposition of resurgence mitigations.
As the year draws to a close, please consider a donation to the Midwest Aikido Center in your year-end giving. The MAC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

We wish you a happy and healthy holidays and we look forward to seeing you on the mat in 2021!

Welcome to the MAC, a Martial Arts dojo. We are a not-for-profit Aikido dojo (school) in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood. Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art which focuses on blending with an attack in order to neutralize it. Instead of strength, strikes, and force, Aikido emphasizes movement, technique, and balance. Our active membership includes women and men from all walks of life, ages 6 to over 70. As a new member, you will pair with many experienced Aikidoists, guaranteeing a self-paced, dynamic, and varied approach to learning this dynamic and varied martial art. The benefits of practicing Aikido go far beyond mere self-defense. We invite you to come see for yourself!
